Wall, Larry Created the Perl open source programming language while working as a programmer at Unisys. He now works full-time as a researcher, developer, and author at O'Reilly & Associates in California. Perl has been embraced by Web developers and IT professionals to solve problems in serving environments, especially serving Web documents in Unix. Perl is optimized for scanning arbitrary text files, extracting information, and printing reports, as well as for system management tasks.
Warnock, John Co-founded Adobe Systems in 1982 with Charles Geschke. Warnock is currently chief executive officer of Adobe and shares the chairmanship of the board with Geschke. Before starting Adobe Systems, Warnock was principal scientist at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). Prior to joining Xerox, he held key positions at Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation, Computer Sciences Corporation, IBM, and the University of Utah. Warnock sits on the board of directors of Octavo Corporation, is past chairman of the Tech Museum of Innovation and currently sitting on its board. He also serves on the Entrepreneurial Board Advisory Committee of the American Film Institute.
Wozniak, Steve Co-founded Apple Computers Inc. with Steve Jobs in 1976. Wozniak is responsible for creating the innovative Apple II computer in 1977.He left Apple Computers in 1985. Wozniak has since started several companies after Apple, but mostly he's a philanthropist. He now devotes considerable time to schools in his community, donating computer labs and teaching computer skills to fifth through eighth grade students.
