Short for
spatial division multiple access,
SDMA is a satellite
communications mode for
using data from antenna arrays in wireless communications systems. At the
base station, SDMA continually adapts to the
radio environment, providing each user with
uplink and
downlink signals of the highest possible quality. At
the
network level, this improved base station performance
can be exploited to increase base station range.
