Refers to a
monitor's ability to automatically adjust the
raster (the rectangular area being displayed) depending on the
resolution of signals being received. For each different resolution (e.g.,
VGA,
SVGA, etc.) the monitor needs to readjust the raster so that it fits within the physical dimensions of the display screen and maintains the
aspect ratio of the image.
